Now that you mention spoilers... This is an original drama, so noone knows where it is going and I love that. Love that both our ongoing Japanese BLs have a Ritsu in them. In my 14 years in Japan, I don't think I have ever met an actual person named Ritsu, so now I gotta be on the lookout. That's Mt. Fuji in the background, and that is the five lakes area. I feel like this might be Lake Yamanakako, but I am a northerner, so that's just a guess. I felt like Fumiya's lies were less this episode, but I really wish he had just said to Ritsu, "I am going to wait for you to remember on your own" or something like that. Then he could not have to tell him anything without resorting to lies. You mention it would be good to watch in winter... it is still winter in Japan. I think they specifically aimed for this season because of the Jack Frost parallel. He disappears in spring. And the cherry blossoms tend to bloom in Tokyo around mid to late March. Also, now that they have introduced Jack Frost, I am trying to guess his significance. He is a fairy who plays pranks in winter. I feel like the most obvious thing would be for Ritsu to be Jack Frost and not actually have lost his memory. In that case, Ritsu would be trying for a second chance for Fumiya. Jack Frost could also be paralleling Fumiya and his lies. Or the story as a whole. Ritsu seems to be attracted to Fumiya. He keeps seeming disappointed that they are not more. Like at the lakeside, he says, "You are so nice, it is easy to misunderstand." and then at the bonfire, "right, we are roommates. Just roommates."I do not think Ritsu is faking, so I think he is falling for Fumiya again and Fumiya emphasizing words like "friend" over and over again is not helping. As for what Fumiya wants, I think he is looking for a second chance. Last episode, he had a chat with the neighbour saying that they ended up like this because he couldn't tell Ritsu what he needed and his dissatisfaction built and built. Of course, it seems like a bad idea, because they broke up because he was not able to tell him the truth and I do not see how lies fix that. I guess the show only has 6 eps, because 8 eps would run into April and April is a new year for everything but the calendar here.
