Loy Krathong is a traditional festival in Thailand, where people release some floating lantern to the river, wishing for some blessing from the water goddess. But also, nowadays Loy Krathong is also kinda like a Thai version of Valentines Day, where couples release their floating lantern together, wishing for long-lasting happiness and love together. Gaipa trying to ask Uncle Jim to go to Loy Krathong together, Li Ming making promise with Heart to go to Loy Krathong together next year, Uncle Jim and Wen making wish and releasing floating lantern together, all these scenes are giving me a lot of mixed feeling.

It might be an unpopular opinion, but I'm not going to judge anything until I watch tomorrows episode and find out more information. There are things that just don't add up. Someone on Reddit pointed out that even though Wen and his dad are really close, his dad didn't even know Alan's name. You would think that if you moved in with someone and were in a long term relationship your parents would at least know who they were. The person also mentioned that the picture that Alan was holding up in the preview seemed to be posted on IG stories, where anyone who follows Wen could see. Either Alan and Wen are still together (which would make me not want to root for Jim and Wen getting together, especially after seeing Jim's backstory) or Alan and Wen are broken up, but still living together due to financial reasons. Wen mentioned he was living paycheck to paycheck and how he was short some months. Maybe Alan is pretending that everything is still the same between them. I only mentioned that because the trailer shows Wen saying that it's awkward. I'm someone who likes knowing all the details before making decisions and there are too many questions about the relationship between Alan and Wen. We got Jim's backstory today about why he's so hesitant about starting a relationship, so maybe tomorrow we'll hopefully get the backstory about why Wen acts the way he's acting.

For real though! I really refuse to believe the cheating plot line. I’m not going to assume things until we get the whole story. A lot of people really out there spreading hate that this whole trope is about infidelity and rant nonstop about it... I may eat up my words when this whole cheating story will blow up on our faces but I have faith that this whole plot isn’t what everyone think it is. 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Plus the series trailer had such a hopeful end to it and I can't combine that with the glamorization of cheating.

Exactly!! I have high hopes that this series is not patronizing this kind of behavior. People hating on Wen right away. I’ll hate him when I find out he’s really an asshole and not judge him by how it appears at this moment.
