Greetings to our Honored Patrons and dearest guests of our tavern!

Winter has come in our parts of the world so take off your boots, grab a drink and warm up by the hearth. We have a new story to share with you and we think it’s very exciting for it has a lot to do with the mystics of the arcane arts.

The theme of this month is the Academy of Magic. We have 9 miniatures for you! Let's have a look at them.

Zondar Valis, Archmage, heroic model, variant without books

For nearly 50 years, the Archmage Zondar Valis directed the Academy of Magic in Altoas, and he looks about the same as he did in his inauguration portrait. Three Kings have passed in this time and he aided them all as best he could. It is said that for him to be replaced, his challenger needs to kill him, but in all this time, not one has been worthy enough to do so. It is unlikely that anyone in the kingdom exists that would be able to defeat Zondar, for he has mastered two schools of magic; illusion and evocation. It is also said that in the last decade, he is spending many nights practicing one more school of magic, one that is forbidden in the Kingdom and is punishable by death.

Vaelia Arra, sorcerer, heroic model

Vaelia Arra, daughter of a simple farmer and a wild redhead from the distant islands, has chosen for herself the school of conjuration at the Academy of Magic. From early childhood she loved surprising people by bringing things into existence from thin air. Having studied in Altoas for 7 years, she understood that the magic bubbling within here since birth, is a lot more powerful and destructive than the spells taught at school. She decided to leave the school and find the source of the arcane within her. Ancient tomes within the library of the academy have told Vaelia that such might can be found in creatures who are descendants of dragons.

These models are available to patrons of the Discoverer, Adventurer and Merchant Tiers. They all come with pre-supported versions. Anyone who is in the Resident Tier receives the Vaelia Arra bust. If you would like to receive all the models from this release you could raise your tier or get them on MMF when they are released there.

Unfortunately, due to some unforeseen circumstances we will not be able to include Kunar the Giant Slayer in this release. We will definitely be releasing it at a later date, but we’re just not quite managing to get it out this month. If you were waiting for it, we deeply apologize and we will try very hard to get it into the January release and the model will be added to the Welcome Chest once it’s released!

Now that the stories have been told, let's have a look at the notice board.
