For my first time collaborating with Xordel, this turned out pretty fantastic. I had to change the scene build quite drastically to make it work in VR, but I would be quite surprised if anyone could tell the difference. Honestly, the only issue I ran into was finding out this MIGHT already be in VR somewhere else, thus why it's an exclusive. I don't want to step on anyone's toes, as that has never been my goal with Dark Dreams. We're simply here to bring VR lovers great content. It also wasn't a perfect loop with sound OR animation, so we used our own resource to add sound. Mia and Luriam hit home runs as usual, and their talents are much appreciated. Thank you both.

On to some interesting skill developments. I think most of our supporters are here for the VR content, although I'm sure there are some of you who view the non-VR previews pretty regularly. And although the VR version was set up to loop seamlessly, as mentioned, the non-VR was NOT. This is not through any fault on Xordel's part as they were planning more of a montage scene than a loop. But this did present a problem for the preview, as I really wanted to use a POV shot for the preview or obvious reasons.

I used this as an opportunity to work on something I've been trying to perfect for a while, and that's using AI to create missing frames in animations. It's not perfect on this video, but considering the original POV video didn't loop at all I'm considering this a win. It requires a substantial amount of manual work but for someone like me who can't spend an extra day on rendering, it's well worth it.

On to the actual skill development I mentioned. On top of seamlessly looping, this ALSO means that I can fix other types of problems in animation, such as a transitions not quite happening right, or a sudden movement that is too jarring. It also means that some previously impossible videos might now work in VR.

It will take quite some time to perfect, but it means I can spend less time animating with keyframes by hand and more time in post with easy fixes using AI. And again, sess time spent rendering means more time for animations, or God forbid, myself and the rest of the studio actually taking a break!

On this topic of skills, I've often though about using my video manipulation/editing skills to touch up old hentai or anime, or doing HMV, but I don't think I have the time or the patience. It would be very cool to make some 2021 edits of La Blue Girl in 4K with smoother animations, extra angles and higher framerates, but that's time I could be spending on VR. Maybe I'll pick it up as a hobby and post edits publicly for people to enjoy. I used to share edits like these with staff, but work became a priority as usual and I lost track of them. Hell, sharing my VR videos used to be just a hobby, and now it's my career. Who knows.
