I am also including some WIP in this post, as I won't have time later to share these and won't have internet again until (HOPEFULLY) Wednesday. Once we get through this move, it will be straight back to business!

I've planned ahead a bit better for this time off to move in that all of you will have 3 animations a week until i am back on track instead of 2. The time I took for Christmas was very much unplanned, but this time I was ready for it and able to keep a better pace. So although I won't be able to work on any animations this next week, I will STILL have content posting regularly to keep you all... satiated.

A couple things/updates.

1) Animation length is going to move up to 1 minute. I am going to upgrade the MEGA so we have more storage space. This is meant to be a ease of use factor for those of you won't don't have programs with reliable looping. This was requested by quite a few people a while back, and now I can finally do it without taking up too much more time or space. At some point I will be ordering a new drive to store all my old works on in case shit hits the fan with storage for some reason, although MEGA has been extremely reliable thus far.

2) We are getting very, very close to our goal of 600 patrons! Upon hitting 600 patrons and staying at that goal, I will be saving up funds towards a new computer that will be used exclusively for Blender renders. During this saving time I'll be spending a decent amount of my spare time learning Blender. I have a couple artists already lined up to work with in Blender, as well as some animations that are just waiting to be brought to public. This is going to open lots of doors at Dark Dreams. Having a computer set up primarily for Blender use will allow me to not only add Blender videos to the mix, but also more customization in the models and scenes we will use. I plan to teach myself how to import models into SFM, as well as customize and create my own. This will be just another way we can give back to the rule 34/SFM community.

3) Green screening is going to be often used in our videos. Some of you who are more tech savvy or at least familiar with SFM know of its limitations. By using green screening, and just multiple renders in general, I will be able to come out with some very complex scenes in VR. For instance, the R. Mika scene that is shown in the WIP above was not possible at first. I was able to open it in SFM, edit, do everything I needed to do... but I could not render the VR as it would crash SFM. Mind you, rendering the 3D was no problem. Just the VR. And although it was extremely time consuming, I was able to render the background scene, as well as all the street fighter characters separately so that I could later combine them all together into one video. I'm also considering putting time into learning Mocha 2020 to use on VR for planar scaling and tracking. But one thing at a time. Blender first!
