official release date for Spotify & more:  04/12/2019

Here are the new finished tracks that I worked on with Magic Circuit! The first song is "Quiet Rooms" and the second is called "Slip". They'll be up on streaming services in a few weeks but I wanted to share it with my patrons early.
When I recorded these over a week ago I was just coming out of a rough patch, life and creativity-wise, so I'm pretty self conscious, but regardless, I'm happy to have gotten the chance to work on more music with MC.

Quiet Rooms was a challenging song since Thomas originally wrote the melody using Vocaloid at a key way higher than I can comfortably sing at (this sounds pathetic coming from me, the chipmunk singing lady, but I just couldn't nail those high notes I'm sorry!!!!) , so we either had to pitch down the instrumental and record my vocals a couple steps down, or pitch up my vocals to match the instrumental nightcore-style.

Since it turned out that messing with the pitch of the instruments sounded a bit too funky, we ended up just going with the nightcore option, which I think makes it sound pretty cool! It's a real banger and I'm extra excited to show everyone the music video for it featuring Thomas's ever-evolving editing style. They really hit the ball out of the park with the composition of the song as a whole cause it's just this epic, soaring track that I could definitely imagine people jumping up and down to at a concert :D

The second song's lyrics honestly hit home for me, and it was kind of difficult to record without getting too choked up. That made the recording process interesting at least, cause singing through tears can add a unique texture to your voice, haha. I really love how Thomas edited the vox for it cause the way the vocals echo and blend into the song makes it sound really haunting.

Anyway, thank you for the continued support, and I'm sorry for taking a little bit of a hiatus while I worked through some personal problems. Your patience with me is always deeply appreciated and I hope you enjoy these new songs!
