SD Tutorial #1 | Installation (Patreon)

Hi everyone! This is my first tutorial, so I have to apologize if I make any errors. And for some of you who are worried now that you don't know about programming or coding, don't worry. Stable Diffusion doesn't need any advanced knowledge of coding; you just need to know the basics of using a computer, like downloading, program installation, and internet browsing skills. Pretty basic, right?. And for others languages, I don't know if i can make it or not and I will update later if possible, so i really sorry for non-English english user😔😔.

1) System Requirnemt

First, I must tell you guys that Stable diffusion requires some serious GPU performance. I would say it needs at least 6 GB of VRAM. But my recommendation is 12 GB of VRAM or more will be the best. And I really recommend that you use an NVIDIA GPU, but AMD is okay. But it's ok if you don't have a good enough computer. I will make a tutorial on running Stable diffusion on Google Colab later.

2) Installation Guide

First, you will have to download 2 things.

• Python(Click To Download)
• GIT(Click To Download)

Then install both like normal firmwear.

Next, create a folder anywhere you want. And then click on the directory bar above then paste this line then press enter. ↓ Image Below ↓

After that, a cmd window will pop up. Just wait for it to finish, and then it will automatically close. After that, you will get a folder name "stable-diffusion-webui" like the ↓ Image Below ↓

Then, You will have to go into that folder and find "webui-user.bat," and run it (only "webui-user.bat).↓ Image Below ↓

Then wait for the pop-up cmd window to finish. To see if it's finished, find the line with the IP address, like in the image below. If you find it, that means it has finished the installation. It could take up to 10 minutes or more, depending on your computer, so don't rush or do anything until it's finished.

Then you can try using the IP address to access the SD WebUI. If you can, That means you have finished all the installation parts.

Done!! You maybe have the light theme; don't worry, I will teach you how to change to the dark theme later.

3) Update SD WebUI

You should do it about every month to get the latest version, in my opinion.

There are 2 kinds of updating the SD webUI.

• 1) Manual(Recommend)

I recommend this method because you won't get into problems very often, unlike the automatic way, because when you update, there will be some major update that can cause an incompatible plug-in or extension, which I will talk about later.

First, go to your stable diffusion folder, then click the directory bar above, write git pull into it then press enter. ↓ Image Below ↓

Then just wait for the cmd window to finish updating, and then it will automatically close. Done!!

• 2) Automatically

First, find the "webui-user.bat" file then right-clicking it*.

*For window 11 | click on show more Options, then Click Edit

*For window 10 or below | Just Click Edit

then type git pull under set COMMANDLINE_ARGS= line ↓ Image Below ↓

Then save. From now on, every time you run the webui-user.bat it will automatically update. Done!!
