Anger... and explaining a hiatus (Patreon)

So, you guys might have noticed I have been absent these past couple of days. The above screen is the reason.

This happened once before. 2 years ago. I was doing the "Oral Idol" video. I managed to fix it, somehow, back in the day. Now I didn't. The PC sat on the repair shop for two days; I had to haggle to get it back tonight because my subscribers were waiting.

As it turns out, it's not even fixed yet: the motherboard might have been damaged, and now it keeps trying to boot to a wrong partition on reboots and such. The PC went blank and wouldn't show a thing until I unplugged it from the wall. I never had it happen before. I don't want it to happen again. I might just have to turn it back in so they fix the motherboard, or tell me to get a new one, or whatever.

If I fucked this up on my own, I'd basically swallow that bitter pill and tough it out. But we have a downright precarious power grid that has been giving me shit for the last years. I even bought a Nobreak, but I was told that it would literally fry my power supplier, or the Nobreak itself would fry. There were some assurances of the power grid being shit but not outright cow barf, but hey, that's what I get for trying to be optimistic.

I have to see how this plays out. I'll have to get in touch tomorrow with the tech shop and see what they advise. In the meantime, now you know why I was silent. I tried to fix the problem on my own for all of monday: on Tuesday, I turned the PC in. I got it back today. And it all points out to it having to go back.

Thank you as always for your support, and sorry about this. I'm seriously thinking of legal action against the power company to blame for this, because I've never taken my PC for repairs in the last years for things I did myself, but rather, because of things done to me. And now it's getting in the way of my job. 

And I don't take kindly to that.
