2 synths... too cool.

Much fun to be had with these... They sit in a modular rack or standalone - as seems to be the flavour of the day (one I fully support tbh).

If you like desktop units or great value euro rack stuff they're well worth a look. They've got Pittsburgh Modular innards and were designed in close collaboration with them - just a shame they don't look as utilitarian and retro techno geeky as the Pittsburgh stuff. But I guess at these prices you can't have everythiung

All in all - for $249 you get very decent (amazing) oscillators plus a filter or LPG. env and LFO with a sequencer and MIDI to CV control. Lovely idea.

I've been in touch with the Cre8 guys. I met one on their stand at Synthfest this weekend. Very approachable with years of experience in music tech, and the other called me when I had a potential issue with MIDI. He got in touch and walked me through stuff .. then stayed on the call for about an hour.

TYhey come across as genuinely passionate about their stuff - this is a sideline for each of them. Fun but doesn't make any cash - yet! Sounds familiar :)

What's the difference between the Cre8audio East Beast and West Pest? One uses subtractive synthesis like pretty much everything else and the other uses Buchla style wave folding and low pass gate inspired circuits... and what does that all mean.
