I got hold of this because I never use my Beehive Plaits clone I bought (because it was black!).. Its just too small to use comfortably. It's possible and works fine etc... but I don't ever feel like exploring it. It's like playing operation :)

This is black but bigger ... then I saw loads of comments about the Brains sounding different - which I thought was weird.. because everyone else seems to be able to make a 1:1 clone

I played them side by side and they were identical until I got to the Inharmonic Strings oscillator.  Behringer have called all of them something different - so matching them up was more difficult than I thought, especially as B have developed their own Karplus Strong oscillator (the same maths used by the Inharmonic Strings on Plaits).  And this definitely sounds different.

I got in touch with Behringer and they told me it was their own code.. so a good job I asked them rather than having to make another video explaining why.  The MonoPoly filter debacle raised a few eyebrows... and probably got Behringer's back up :) .. but it was all their fault .. honest.

But I don't think I've read anywhere that they made their own code for this one.

Anyway the other differences are the additions of

Supersaw, FM drum, cowbell and toms.

It sounds well, but Plaits always did. I'm currently focusing on my BARP2500 system. 1050 & 1020 ordered from G4M but gonna take ages :(
