I've been taking a look at this for the past couple of days.  Started making an unboxing and first impressions video - then realised I just couldn't work the thing!

There's a lot in here, so its taken a fair bit of concentration to understand what it can do. No point in making a video where you're not sure... but everything I tried to do resulted in 20 minutes of confusion :). Looking for Solo.. there is none... trying to flatten the velocity response of the pads... couldn't find it. etc etc..

Turns out it can do everything you need (almost), but I've learned never to say what something can't do as either an update will fix it or I just haven't found it.

I then found the demos which are really nice and thought this was a nice way of showing what it can do and how it sounds.  This took a lot longer than expected.  I thought they'd be a minute or so long - but turns out they're 3-4mins and there's 16 of them.  45 minutes worth of demos... annotated for 6 hours, then gave up :)

A 'normal' review will be coming soon.

Recorded in 4k.. I never realised it took so long to render down to 1080 - so the final version will be my first 4k upload.  Much better than the 480k nonsense that happened a couple of weeks ago... duh!

Roland VERSELAB: All demo tracks showing how good this sounds

#roland #mv1 #verselab #mv-1 A no talking video... the demo tracks on the Roland VERSELAB MV-1 are so well put together it seems a shame that only owners will get to hear them. Also they're a great way of showcasing its abilities and sound. I've annotated with info for most of the tracks.. So enjoy the tracks while you learn what it does :) All the cool kids, awesome dudes, synth lovers and general nice guys (and gals) go here :)... ► Patreon: https://patreon.com/starskycarr Other places you’ll find me: ►ClubbingTV From the Studio: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLYIYEC4M53KQs4FeYpCY51sHxoK2l2Z0O ► Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/starskycarr ► Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/starskycarr ► Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/starskycarr ► Bandcamp https://starskycarr.bandcamp.com/releases 0:00 intro 0:20 Last Call 2:38 Waistman 4:48 Coconuts 7:38 JUBIGEL 11:00 Dark Cherry 14:37 Nonsense 16:59 DiamondBoogie 19:35 Tides 21:41 Ghost 24:40 Havana 28:36 Big Bag Ready 31:14 Amphiuma 33:43 The Smyle 35:34 For Us 38:19 Fences 41:17 Stress Test @RolandChannel

just watched the New verse lab video. this morning and found the review positive overall. A good watch with a morning coffee. I was saving for the mpc one but seeing this review actually made me realise the Verse lab is worth looking at to.

Thanks... I don't know but I suspect so. You can download both preset lists from the Roland manuals and downloads sections.... so annoyed I missed thew MIDI out - but I'm blaming their support who suggested it would be a good update! Just playing it now with my little modular set-up. Its sending clock and MIDI to it.. so might just add a little extra video.
