My oldest synth, the Casio CZ-5000 (an 8 voice, 2-DCO, "phase distortion" synth), has insane envelope capabilities. Each DCO has 3 envelope generators, one for pitch, one for "wave" (similar to sweeping a wavetable), and one for amplitude. The kicker? Each envelope has up to 8 steps, with control over the rate and ending level of each step!
