Unfortunately, this is indeed true. The official announcement on their website says they will be closing their doors on the 18th next month. Not sure what this means for the future of the Koikatsu community though.

I feel like if eevan decides to do two in a month instead of choosing the top 2 that he should just randomly select the other character to prevent the overrated characters from always being the top and too give other characters a chance

The games themselves will still work so hopefully modding community will still be active. Still sad to see them go under. An end to an era
