Here's progress on this month's "Finish-A-Sketch", which was voted on by my top two tiers. I'm likely to use my watercolor look for this, so watch out for a stream this week where I work on fleshing it out.

This buck tribe is sharing a few willing females with a rival tribe of elk in hopes of diversifying and strengthening the genetics of their future children. Recent food shortages and trade disputes have created tension between these groups, so ritualistic sharing such as this have the added benefit of patching up any bad blood between them.

Definitely better than the sketch. And I've always loved your tribal stuff, and even the little backstories you do add so much more to the image.

Nope! It's mostly for the benefit of the bucks whose children will share the genetic traits of the elk, and the elk get a fun time out of it.

Before reading your description, I thought it had to do with Santa's reindeer getting elk bloodlines in the mix to haul a bigger sleigh, or something.
