The DVDs line up perfectly, which makes me think that's their source. It'll be interesting when they get to Series X, because the NTSC versions run a little slower than the PAL and online versions. That's the only series where I've found it to be an issue.

Yes, this does present a wide range of 'American' accents from it's British cast. However, Loretta (the psychopathic, schizophrenic femme fatale) was played by Jennifer Calvert, who was born in...... Canada. Think she had appeared with Danny in a kids TV show called Spatz before this? Great episode but it put a real strain on Chris and Craig's already shaky relationship. It will be brought up in the season doc so will say no more. You can probably find it on YouTube as told by Robert Llewellyn as he tells the story so well.

In a discussion on the "Ganymede & Titan" fan forums, people reckoned that something that makes this episode one of the best of s6 is the relative lack of stock/running gags and Blackadder-esque simile jokes.

I'm glad you liked this one! It's never been one of my favorites, but the good thing about that is that I hadn't seen it in a while, and I loved rewatching it with your perspective. What I do enjoy about this episode is how AMAZING Chris looks in his cowboy costume, and how relatively unflattering Craig looks. He genuinely seems uncomfortable. I think there's some backstory there, but I forget...
