Doug C

My favorite part of that opening: he claims he single handedly killed the dragon while the rest did miscellaneous stuff. We forget that as it's just a dream, but look at the ending again: He really did single-handedly kill it! Talk about good foreshadowing! Also in good foreshadowing, remember in episode 10, Pike's line about "We gotta work on your landings." :-)

Brett Christensen

Take up the topic of "Buddies" with Ashley Johnson. She is the one who came up with it because she liked how it sounded, lol.

You are making it up at the end, unfortunately; Grog got the How Do You Want To Do This on Umbrasyl in the campaign.

The thing that continues to blow my mind about this show is how well they are adapting the source material. Adaptations are tough to get right, but they've taken hundreds of hours of improvised collaborative storytelling and condensed it into a few hours of logical, structured narrative and yet in the moment it still feels like I'm watching the same story, even though part of my brain knows they've changed stuff. That's actual witchcraft.

Kat rolled a nat 20 on the first/last rolls, just like the CR crew rolled a nat 20 on this season. It's been a long twelve weeks but so worth the wait each week to see you gals react to this. They re-ordered and/or changed quite a few things from the campaign, but did it all in a way that 100% makes total sense. Not gonna lie...I had my doubts at first about how they would manage it, but let's face it, this team are geniuses and they pulled it off expertly. That line of Scanlan's ("Two! This one's mine.") gets me every time...I also get the chills every time those raven wings pop out from Vax's back. (I love that both he and Keyleth got character theme music this season). I feel like Vax and Scanlan had the most character development this go-round, with my two favorite half-elf ladies at a close second. Season 3 will be even more insane, fingers crossed it comes sooner rather than later. I can't wait to see how they break it down and build it back up into something supremely awesome.

She said it was because she thought it sounded cute. Though it is interesting, the first time she uses "buddies" is in episode 10 of season 1, when Grog asks her about "Mr. Winkie". Before that it was always "buddy".

The Force

I'm surprised the takeaway for you guys was that Scanlan dreamed he'd married his daughter. Since the kids call him grandpa and her mom, my takeaway was that he's no longer dreaming of whatever he did before, likely debauchery and wild shows, but of being with his family in his old age. A little sign that he's changing on more than just a conscious level! Okay, you realized p quick xD still yeah it was a funny initial reaction

Fun fact | Vex not feeling anything going wrong is meant to reference the yellow thread between her and Vax being severed when he bargained with the Matron to save her. That was used as a narrative tool to explain how she knew he was in trouble in season 1 (same way they accidentally meta'd everyone knowing Vax was in trouble at the actual table) and she now no longer has that connection because the Matron severed it and bound it to her instead
