Before the episode starts, let me say: So Paula has viewed Calamity and Katrina would be a complete newb to it? Wouldn't it be fun to have SOMEONE do reactions to the best live play miniseries ever? Who do we know that could do that? ;-)

That's an awesome idea! Obviously, I can see lots of reasons why they wouldn't want to do a reaction series for an entire Critical Role campaign (although I'd certainly welcome it!) but I think doing some of the shorter (4 episode or less) series and one-shots would be COOL!!!

YES! Gotta admit that asking them to watch a whole CR campaign is a big ask but the one-shots and EXU mini-series would be great. I'm still holding out for a live-play where Kat and Paula play!!!

I've seen this several many times and I still get chills when Pike materialises! I remember it as epic in CR and this more than does it justice.

Won’t spoil if Vex and Percy are a canonical couple but will admit back when campaign 1 was airing I shipped them so hard! 🤣 Also side note they do make Vex a bit more of an asshole in the show than I ever remember her being in game, then again it has been a few years since my last campaign 1 rewatch and I could be looking back with rose tinted glasses. Also between “Bad News” (Percy’s rifle), Keyleth’s “Wall of Ice “ spell, and Pikes return this episode had a lot of good regranted to some of the players most powerful abilities.

This episode makes me unreasonably happy (I'm a big fan of Big Damn Heroes moments)...but damn to does it hurt knowing that if Pike had just managed to show up a little earlier, Archie - to say nothing of so many of the rest of the resistance - might have lived to continue fighting for Whitestone.
