"The Cloud Minders" is so overlooked - it's got probably the most relevant-for-today message of TOS S3 - I mean, "Let that be your last Battlefield" is similar, but quite a bit more blunt, there's more nuance and literary allusoins (i.e. it both employs and subverts Plato in his cave-allegory, and brings epistemic and socio-political considerations together). All of these are still great, though :)

The Tholian's are a fav of mine. But also because canon links to Star Trek: Enterprise.

The Enterprise Incident has nice parallels to a future TNG episode. Day of the Dove also introduces one of 3 Klingons who appear in later Trek.
