Sunday Announcement! Something New! (Patreon)

Hello dearest Patrons!

I'm here today to tell you about a new, fun little project I (Kat) started with Parker Robins and our good friend Stephanie Johnson. Parker decided they wanted to take the two of us through the entirety of Spiderman's story as neither of us have ever read a single comic book about Spidey! Today's release is episode .5 as a little introduction, but you can mark down Wednesday the 26th on your calendar for the official release of episode 1!

We're really excited to share this one with everyone and I wanted to share it here with all of you wonderful Patrons who are already a huge support in my life. Everyday it means the world to me and I hope you enjoy what we have to share with you here!

Funny That

Spider-man has a continuity density on a par with a weekly soap opera that has been running for 80 years. Honestly good luck you brave people, and be prepared to face the dark heart of Aunt May which the movies ignored... and more!

That was wonderful. I haven't read comics in a long time. Got into them from reruns of stuff before my time like Super Friends, the Adam West Batman series, and 60s Spiderman cartoon. Then got back into them especially DC Comics because of Batman 89 film, Batman The Animated Series, Superman Animated Series, and Justice League cartoon series. Spiderman was always a go to as well. Spiderman and Batman do have the best rogues galleries. I'd put Flash villains third. Didn't know about the last tid bit at the end. That was ...... something. Lol.

You're starting from Amazing Spider-Man no.1 in the 60's? Hoo-boy, that a BIG undertaking. On the bright side, there's all those Stan Lee musings to enjoy. Excelsior!

I read through the whole of the ASM run from start to finish just over a decade ago (Including the other titles that they would spread a story over. 90's sucked for that). Took me almost two years of almost non-stop reading to catch up to the modern run. It was a great journey though, getting to see all the iconic moments in the appropriate context, while also seeing just how much other stuff is there. Definitely some ups and downs but I've been wanting to do it again actually as I've built up another decade or so worth of books to read (I was up to date as of the end of the last "Secret Wars" run).
