Last time I watched Reign of Terror, I saw the Loose Cannon reconstructions (mostly still pictures with captions describing the actions, along with the audio), so it was interesting to see this animated version for the first time! Thanks!

--Yes, I agree about buying DVDs rather than trusting the streaming sites. In fact I'm watching along these Dr Who reactions with my DVDs, and I'm watching along to Battlestar Galactica with my Blu-rays. --This was one of the first stories to have animation reconstructions of missing episodes (I'm not sure if it was the very first, but it was early). The animation style drew a lot of criticism for all the quick cuts and extreme closeups of eyes, which had nothing to do with how the episodes were originally shot. The animators defended themselves by saying they chose to use a modern directing style, but Dr Who magizine responded with an article pointing out that even in a modern show, the number of cuts would be excessive for a fast action scene, let alone for characters sitting quietly talking to each other (and they counted up that the short sequence of Barbara helping Susan out of the room at the start had as many cuts as a fight scene in a then-recent Bourne movie). Later animated reconstructions would heed the feedback, and stick more closely to reconstructing what the episodes would have actually looked like (although they still sometimes have a fondness for making sets and special effects beyond what the original series could have done).
