Well, more to Ryan Guzman, the actor who gives life to the character! A cool variation I did during the pre-production of the Buddie comic. You can notice the eyes are looking at us, the character works so well in such pure black & white <3

That Long-Haired Creepy Guy

Maybe it's the lack of word bubble, but the second image (on the right) has an extra tilt to the head. It feels that way to me. I approve!

That's funny, I see what you mean: if you change the lay out of an illustration it can change the whole perception you have, hehe. What strikes me here is making him looking at us, unlike in the page where he's looking at Buck leaning (he's probably looking at his butt, but we only can imagine!), he's pretty intense, like much more than the original panel. I guess the full black & white with black solids enhances this effect.
