Funny how this look familiar to me, opposite to the new colors that I perform myself. Nowadays I'm so used to see this comic in colors I'm somewhat disturbed by the naked ink itself, like something is lacking.

In the next pages, I tend to fill the background with the texture used discretely on the walls in my color process, but in the black & white versions. I still feel they have to function on themselves without the colors. Not sure if I'm clear enough expressing my mind here in english, but that's a bit of the spirit you'll see in the forthcoming artworks.

I personally think this is quite a beautiful alternative look at the page. Your line art is super clean, and I truly LOVE how the solid blacks pull the eye in immediately, and then we can enjoy all the lovely little nuances and subtle detailing you put into the page. It's quite gorgeous. I think sometimes, we're afraid of seeing our pages in their original black and white, especially once we are accustomed to color in our work. For sure, sometimes color makes everything pop even more, but I think it's so cool that we can also appreciate the purity and boldness of our line art on its own. Without it, the final page would never exist. LOL! This one is gorgoeus, my friend. Beautiful ink work!! 🥰👏👏👏🥰

I feel you: I dig the inking only, the pure lines & how it shows all the details we put in our work. My views are biased cause I know most of the audience loves full colors & superb fx. I still think this is a different job & a different artistry than drawing & inking. I know more as I'm coloring the next pages & OH BOY it's so much work even if I don't feel like doing stunning thins LOL Merci pour tous ces gentils encouragements & appréciation, Patrick, it feels good! <3 <3 <3
