The failure. (Patreon)

Hello folks, we start november with a good vibe as I'm working on the final pages of the chapter. I plan to post them all for you before 2022, so you should get pages 22, 23 & 24 in december. 

As it's a lot of work, cause it's a new sequence introducing a new character, I won't be drawing pin-ups the next months.  

But this ain't the only reason. I lost dozen of patrons since summer & it forces me to open my eyes: my Patreon page is a failure, like big time. It's been 5 years I've been working hard to make it successful enough. As optimistic I was, I thought I could get a monthly salary from it & draw my art full time. It didn't work out this way so I had to get back to a day-time job. 

I tried many solutions, watching how other adult artists manage. The pdf zine, the votes, the extra content, many ways. I even thought the shifting to a more *bankable* digital rendering, comic inking & fancy colors (that I pay high price, if you wonder, as Hernán is a fantastic artist), but this didn't work out either. 

Well, years of hopes & tests and I'm stuck with a very low number of patrons. Some of you lovely people are amazingly faithful, like, for years (!), it's a blessing. 

Truth is I'm exhausted. I am tired of fighting in order to make this page finally work. I had a very hard time these past weeks, with the death of my young cat, the day-time job troubles, health issues. And now this, so I won't be fighting anymore. I will stop fantasizing the page will be successful, I will stop spending so much time promoting it on the social networks, these aren't much more working for me anyway.  

I won't let you down until the comic is done. I'm gonna enjoy the holidays & work on the second chapter. We'll see in 2022 how I'm gonna handle this, but it's gonna have to be much more easy on me: focusing on the art & creation only, mainly on my comics & characters. 

And if it's gotta be only for me & a little dozen of lovely readers, so be it.
