That Long-Haired Creepy Guy

Panel two is the one that my eyes were continuously drawn back to. And no, not JUST because of the OBVIOUS reason. :P Once I was done being distracted, the intensity and the emotion coming out from the body language of the Ocean Man locked my gaze (I'm christening him that in my own head canon, named for an Australian series I was fond of back in the day). The artwork is supreme--I've gusted about that already--but the attention to line detail in the second panel is also terrific. I especially love the attention to the muscles. Each one is spelled out sumptuously. There is a very real sense of desperation and panic in Panel 3. The hands ARE indeed expressive, helping to convey the sense of loss, confusion, and hope slipping away. He's met one other person on the island, who promptly pulled a cum-and-run, and then stumbled upon a crashed plane. Now, the only other soul on the island appears to be abandoning him for the ocean. The slow horror really strikes me in these linear images. To contrast, there is a taunting allure to the Ocean Man's face in the final panel. It is as if he is daring our hero to follow him, to join him in the sea. And, at the same time, he seems to calm and self-possessed.

Holy cow -- this page is so fantastic. I agree when you say it's GLORIOUS, because the first thing that caught my attention was that INCREDIBLE second panel. Your black hunk is STUNNING and soooo incredibly well rendered. He's so intensely sexy, and MY GOD -- SO MYSTERIOUS! What the Hell is he doing going backwards like that? I have a feeling that no hunk on this island is exactly as he seems, and I LOVE THAT! But yeah, that panel -- WOW!!! He's so beautiful and so intensely sexy... and I don't wanna seem fixated, but his COCK -- SOOOOO BEAUTIFUL!!! I love all the other panels too, and your hand posing is SUBLIME!!! Really great work on this page all around. And that "defying look" on the inset bust in the last panel is so beautiful, I hardly have the right words to describe it! MAGNIFIQUE, mon cher CLX!!! This chapter is truly WOW!!! The guys, the layouts, the backgrounds -- EVERYTHING !! Superb! 😍❤️😍❤️

Can't express how it's so good to read a comment like yours giving words to the emotion I want my characters to embody throughout the comic. Love the cum-and-run expression, haha! You really get what I wanted the guy to express: "come with me, we're all floating down there" XD

Can I be real? Okay, I have to confess I've always been scared to draw black people. Only because I couldn't find in my mind a proper way to render them. I worked for it, I searched the right way and finally I got there! I'm so happy with the final result and it's soOo rewarding to get fantastic comments from all of you guys and especially you, Patrick, cause you master at drawing them (and pretty everything actually!).
