I realized that it's been a while since I've done an actual update on all these concurrent projects, so I figured I'd rope you in on the scoop here.

After a long winter break (and a detour with Intruder), here's where the two major projects I've got on the docket stand.

WHERE IS CAMPAIGN FOR NORTH AFRICA??/?/??

Yes, it's happening. If you're on the discord (which I'll assume and hope you are, since I post much more often there than here), you'll already know what a waste the past couple of weeks have been.

For the unaware, I was trying (as a joke) to make an audiobook for the rulebook of Campaign for North Africa. Long story short, the file became corrupted and I overwrote my backup without realizing what had happened - about twenty hours of my life down the drain.

So with that aside, me and the boys have begun playing CNA. We've done a bit of Operation: Brevity, which is essentially a tutorial scenario for the tutorial scenario we're planning to play over the coming weeks (Brevity ignores Air/Logistics, it's just for learning unit movement and combat).

We're going to use this as an opportunity to learn the rules before moving onto the bigger 5v5 experience. I can't give an exact timeline for that yet, but soon enough you'll see a new call for fresh blood. Ideally, you'll have looked at the rules beforehand but the point of our training here is to be able to direct fresh hands to do the grunt labour for us.

You know what they say: work smarter, not harder.

:)

Crypt II: Crypt Harder: Revengeance

Yes, it's happening. One of the main reasons I took so long to get the ball rolling on CNA is that I've been a bit distracted working on the next game dev project.

I'm not willing to share any actual details at this time, but rest assured this one will be significantly more involved than the last one.

And I should clarify here: although this game currently bears the name "Crypt 2", it's not really a direct sequel to Crypt - more like a spiritual successor. Crypt messes with you because it's a bad game (intentionally), whereas Crypt 2 is trying to mess with you in very different ways. I'd call Crypt 2 a "real" video game, where Crypt was just a joke.

We're still a good couple of months away from any behind-the-scenes content, but things are happening - and I'm very excited for them.

So what's next?

As for the next couple of videos, I've got some other plans in motion that are easier/faster to do while I do CNA as the main big project. Keep watching for when I put out that new call for CNA recruits.

Stay safe.
