FINALLY Deep Dives are back! I have wanted to do this one since about September last year and it finally happened! If you don't know, Deep Dives are when I do a stream binging as many MVs, stages, albums, and other content as I can from a single artist in an attempt to get to know them better! The statement above pretty accurately sums up my feelings after spending a day binging gugudan MVs and performances. I can't justify the emotional investment to the same degree as I would if I knew they weren't disbanded, but just know that I feel this was a very special group. I think Jellyfish enormously dropped the ball with gugudan, especially because the a cappella angle is something they EASILY could have used to make gugudan go viral in the west. If you showed me any one of gugudan's a cappella sets and told me they were only an a cappella group, I would have believed you because they were so good. RIP gugudan. You deserved so much more. even though I discovered you too late, you made an impression on me that few groups have.
