The Art becomes your Waifu?! Edo-E no Ane-sama! (Patreon)

Hello my dear Shrine Parishioners! This is Rebis.

Today I want to introduce you new uncommon Youkai character around the wrold... in this time, Edo-E no Ane-sama (Ancient-Tokyo-Art Wife)  from Japan (Aomori Prefecture)!

The ”Edo-E no Ane-sama” is a yokai that appears in a folk tale from Aomori Prefecture!

(Edo is an old name of Tokyo. E(絵)=Art, Illustration. So her name means "Ancient-Tokyo-Art Wife)

Once upon a time, there was a poor man.

He was so poor that he could not get a wife, so he hung a piece of Edo Art he had found in his house as a solace for his soul.

One day, however, the girl in the Edo Art began to slip out and cook and clean for him while he was away!

It would have been nice if this had been a happy ending, but...

When the man tried to get close to the girl, she was blown by the wind into the fire she was cooking and turned into ashes... Sad!!!

Well.

In the original folktale, ”Edo-E no Ane-Sama” comes to a sad end, but the new ”Edo-E no Ane-Sama” in the [Anime-Tamae!]world is a much happier Bride Type Yokai Girl!

What do you think of ”Edo-Art” in the modern age?

Yes... Edo... that means Tokyo... I mean the Doujin Books sold at the "Tokyo Big Sight" and other places in Tokyo! :D

Edo-E no Ane-Sama in Anime-Tamae! World is...a wonderful yokai who come out of the Doujin Books and become ”your” wife!!

Her current favorite form seems to be the ”otaku-friendly tanned gyaru elf classmate” girl. But of course, she can take on other forms as well...!

She could play an interesting role in the main storyline of Anime-Tamae!

And also she would be a good fit for a spin-off manga where you interact with your yokai waifu(s) from a POV!
