Raffle is banned by Patreon now (Patreon)

Recently some people warned me, sadly, Raffle is banned by Patreon... https://patreon.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/204199489-Can-I-offer-a-raffle-for-one-of-my-rewards- For the first aid, I remove text about Raffle from my Patreon. I hope to replace your Raffle Tickets for something... Maybe Pinup and Poll events replaces Raffle events? (Though it lacks differentiation of pledges) I'm thinking about it, but if you have any good idea, please tell me via comments on this post. Anyway, rule is rule... My only wish is, Patreon never bans NSFW arts in the future....

Raffles are considered gambling under certain laws in the US, so they tend to be very heavily regulated. (Having a raffle at my college in the past was very difficult for example, required a lot of government approval.) You can just choose some random guy for a commission every month or something. Maybe have invitations to streams where you draw art for higher donations. Really, I think a lot of people donate just for the translated comics and because they like your stuff. I don't know how much the raffle tickets influenced the amount of people's donations.

I noticed a lot of the patrons I follow do raffles. I guess they will have to change it. One option you could do is just do a few limited teirs(like 4 or something) and every week you pick 1 person from that to do something for. That way every month you pick every users of that teir.

That is such bullshit. I'm not supporting you for the raffles, but I had already planned something in case I won. Oh well. I hope you can come up with a decent replacement, at least.

Well that's disappointing news. I too had an idea for something in the event I won, but those are the breaks, I guess. Still, I'm glad to support you all the same, and this won't change that any. :)
