I was always saying I wanted to learn Japanese, but now I'm actually making a start.

So, I decided to map out and create this hiragana chart, aiming to make something that looked nice, highlighted the pretty elegant grid-geometry of Japanese and also served as a practice piece.

"Hiragana" is the "main" alphabet of Japanese, the first out of three.
From what I've read, it's the simplest and most basic Japanese alphabet, and where most start learning.

The chart is not only a decoration but also a memory challenge to practice learning the characters and their accompanying sound. That's why its a little bit hard to understand, even though looking pretty minimalistic.

You'll need to do some pre-reading first, then hopefully, after some basic understanding about hiragana itself, this chart will become somewhat intuitively decipherable.

Here are the websites I referenced while creating the chart:

Weather you're actively learning Japanese,  just interested in these fun facts or would just like some kind of decoration, I hope this chart was interesting and aesthetic enough for you!

For those who know Japanese, feel free to let me know if I should fix anything!

I'm not perfectly happy with how it looks for now, but I did want to get it out this month.

So if you wanted to print it out on a high quality poster then maybe wait a short while for some refined versions that should look cleaner.

For now I'll also include my previous iterations!
They cover less detail but they look cleaner. Eventually want to make it look clean and cover all details...
