Hello everyone, it's been a while since I did this but I've learned:

How to select a group of vertices - Rather than simply grabbing one I can now grab a selection of Vertices, enabling me to manipulate more than 1 at a time. As you can imagine this makes shaping a large group much more easier.

How to assign a group of vertices - I could be potentially time consuming having to select all the vertices individually again to make up the group, I've learned you can assign a group of vertices a name, if you look at the blue highlighted part you will see the name for this group of vertices.

How to subdivide vertices - Sometimes an object doesn't have enough vertices, the above picture started with just 4, making the corners of a big square, by subdividing I create more vertices and more squares and therefore can more precisely manipulate an object. This particular object above is a subdivided plane and is the foundation for land and floor is most games.

Proportional editing and land creation - Rather than manipulate a group of vertices or just one, I can use proportional editing. In this I can manipulate a vertex or group of vertices and the surrounding vertices will follow any change I make but in a smaller way. Here you can see I have grabbed 1 vertex but when I pull it up, the others surrounding it follow but not as much. This is how hills are created in games.

:-)
