So It Begins.... (Patreon)

At first I thought the 'guidelines' were just that, 'guidelines' as opposed to any sort of contractual obligations, and then I thought that if they were contractual obligations then they only had legal jurisdiction over anything posted or gained from Patreon itself.

But it seems that indeed, one of the creators I follow, formerly known as 'Horny Family' a game as you can imagine by the title was about [CENSORED BY PATREON] type sex was forced to be modified by patreon in order that the creator could carry on earning.

My friends and patrons when it comes to politics I detest the game, but if we do not play it our enemies will have us looking like villains. 

The wording of the so called guidelines is so vague as to be unenforceable, or simply to be enforced over those creators they don't like, in a word: Fascism. I'm Libertarian, I should be free without interference to create what I want as long as it does not force another living person to be harmed, and you as consumers have the right to choose to play follow and support whomever you so wish to do so, with YOUR money!

But another Libertarian belief is the idea of the free market...if Patreon wishes to shoot itself in the foot and to lose revenue, then I will simply go to it's competitor: Hatreon, or other such places.

I completely agree with you man, I think it is just ridiculous what patreon is doing.

Yep this is what I been seeing with a lot of these Patreon Creators, one minute you think you ok and even remove the banner that might look nudity art, and then bam we Patreon Police and checking you out, please hands up and stand over at the wall with your butt sticking out, lol yet I hope you pass, as for some of the others, no since incest was found or wording of incest actions was found, the site was taken down if the creator says it too much to change the whole game.

Plus there was a couple who like you think that the guidelines are too weak and are stepping on your toes when it just a game that being played and not a real life thing being done. Yet a few has move on and let their page get shut down since some of them was using the youtube feature to showcase the game and the game play of the game, but oh that a no no since youtube is not a porntube channel. I really hope that Patreon get it right, I do understand that kids will lie about the age and still go play and watch it but you not in the wrong since you have it at the start, are you knowing you doing this and want to do this game yes or no and if they chose yes, then it should be them in trouble since you gave them the option to leave and what they about to do before at the start screen.

Wasn’t Patreon better without these guidelines? I didn’t see no sort of problems about adults game when they were no guidelines. They were doing fine until the guidelines limits them from expressing what there game can show. Such shame :(

No the one side of the argument is that anyone can make a game and show it off, but what about our young minds, do we want to hampsters them into that we all bunch of meanies and bible freaks that has to pray on our knees and go to work at 5am each morning and get off of work at 10pm each night to get a little food and then and few hours worth of sleep to go back to be mindless drones where the others are just being infused with bad choices that is corrupting our world since we not allow to have clean water unless we pay a bill, we not to allow to have a place to live till we pay a bill and we not allow to have a brain till we told what we allow to see and think of

Sorry it just I am getting tired of these right minded people that say we need them but our rights are not allow unless we pay a bill to talk or think or even to drink as well as to eat but then others are like oh it ok for them but then when you look at them and what they have hiding in their closets, it not wrong for them but for us common people it so wrong since we just have a thought and want to be happy in life

While I am not a particular fan of the situation and guidelines, I can understand them and how they (Patreon) is being forced to adhere to those guidelines or suffer losing their Internet Merchant Account (IMA)... the guidelines that Patreon is forcing on us is likely being forced upon them by the banks that run the charges through the IMA... But... even if it wasn't... this is their business and they have a right to run it they way they feel they need to run it. Is it a pain-in-the-ass for us? Absolutely... but this is THEIR site, not ours, so they make the rules and if we want to play the game, we have to play it their way... or find a place where we can, or start our own... like it or not, we have to play the game and the cards dealt to us... that's life.

funny how the so called conservative religious right ,says they want smaller government and less restrictions , then demands more restrictions on porn and free speech that they find offensive , what happened to live and let live ????? if it offends you don't look at it its that simple , this argument well think of the children,is just an excuse to censor ,anything they don't like ,,For Patreon to act like this is going to cost them big time ,there are other crowd funding sites out there with less restrictions ,if they are not careful this will be a big hit in the wallet .......

OH wow thanks for this info, see there is a lot more going on that we not seeing or hearing but then again some of us are just that, a person that has idea but then not sure how to act on it without causing too much problems that will get the majority of everyone mad for your one thought that you are thinking of

WOW so it just 4 things that not allowed and it no longer cool to be near a R rating level since that soooo bad, I see where this is going, hmm first it was music and it all cool to listen to whatever and now we have rating marker on them and of course we had rating on movies but hell even in some of them R rating movies would be closer to pure evil level since some of the things a movie director shows would be dangerous thought to us fools who have no brain cells to use to see things as they are in light of the day.

Yet I agree with ASLPro3D on the control of the internet, as I say from the start, I am an old redneck and seen things from the old woodstock days get chase down for what it was, then came other things that cause the majority problems since we few and proud was too happy but not paying attentions to what going on since we do have young minds that can be lead down a path of sorrow that can be life saddening for them. Yet at the end of the day who controls the thoughts, us or the majority or chose to let control and order have it all since it better to live under this way of life since in the end there is only 2 classes, the rich and the poor and that thing called middle class, ha ha, they just slave labor to the rich since they don't want to get thier hand dirty when they have to change the car oil after driving the 3000 miles limits

It was fine and then someone probably kicked up a stink about something they didn't like, spat their dummy out and had a tantrum to Patreon or Government or some other big daddy figure that will magically make the bad parts of life go away. :-)

That's just the thing though, some people think it was the religious right wing bible belt of the US type people and some are pointing to the left wing, there are more than 2 genders, you can identify as snake-kin rather than human, all white people are racist, feminists, BLM, antifa. Nutcases either way because either side wants to enforce their views on everyone else. I did some digging of course and Patreon is based out of San Fran, california, the most left wing state in the US so personally I think it isn't the religious right this time. Either way as the saying goes...when the governments boot is on your neck, whether it is the left or right boot is of no consequence.

I disagree but you are entitled to your opinion and I thank you for expressing it. At the end of the day if we allow decisions to be made for us, for whatever so reason is given we remove the idea of individual responsibility from the equation, if one forces choice it is not choice, ergo the idea of regulation of the internet for the reason of protecting young minds takes away the individual responsibility and role of parents to monitor such young minds. If we allow the idea of Order then we do not allow for challenge and personal growth, instead we stagnate under the mandate of law, we avoid being personally responsible for our decisions and therefore are robbed of that natural and unalienable right conferred upon us by birth in this world, and as we avoid the personal responsibility we allow the idea that it is the government or the rich or another scapegoat that is responsible for the quality of our lives, this then becomes the slippery slope to idea of being a perpetual victim, antifa would be a case in point on that matter, so too would the religious right. Thus we now go back to where we are now, the 'you can't produce that kind of content because it offends me, I demand you change your company policies or I'll bitch to a bigger daddy who will force you to change' Whether this was brought by the left or right wing is irrelevant, bot can be equally as forceful and oppressive. Anyway, sorry to rant. I should get back to my game, or what may be left of it anyway... :-)

Sigh....I'm beginning to sound like Milo Yiannopoulous so I'm gonna go out an get some takeaway. Just my luck there will be someone outside the place saying I can't have any because it is bad for me and that I should have salads instead. :-)
