NEWS LETTER!!! (Patreon)

Firstly as you can see I haven't lost my sense on humour and good wit and secondly I did promise you a news update and here it is!

VERSION 0.5 PROGRESS

Alley

Create Fives Theme Tune - [DONE] It is now entered into the game to give him a bit of a dangerous vibe when meeting him.

Create Brothers Friend Dialogue - [DONE] Previously he would say one line and then leave, but if your brother has introduced the two of you officially you will have additional dialogue when meeting him in the alley again.

Remove Fight Screen if running away - [DONE] A bug whereby if you ran from a fight the health and energy bars remained on screen has been fixed.

Expand Blind Old Man Dialogue - [DONE] Now after forcing yourself onto him a number of times a lengthy dialogue with 2 choices will appear. :-)

Create Working Girl Dialogue - [DONE] If you talk to her now she will say one of 10 random lines of dialogue relating to her profession.

Create More Fives Conversation - [DONE] When you get to a certain level of affection you will have a dialogue with Fives in the Alley leading to 1 of 3 endings to the relationship with him. Choose carefully!

Remove energy loss if nothing there - [DONE] Previously this annoyed one of my patrons so I removed it, then another wanted energy back. I'm going to put it so that moving to an area costs 5 energy.

HOME

Put Parents Room In - [DONE] The room is in but no events as of writing, still, something to look at and imagine.

Create Parents Mentioning Companion - [DONE] Now when you bring either ZOE or FIVES home your parents will converse with them.

Implement Losing companion when sleeping - [DONE] If you go to sleep your companion will go back to where you found them.

Create Affection Counter for Parents/brother and companions - [DONE] This will be invisible but in the background for the player, the reason being  that as they are not You, i.e. the player you do not know their feeling for other people and therefore will have to gauge their level off affection for somebody.

Implement Sleepover of companions - [DONE] For now either Zoe or Fives can sleepover if you ask your parents, Fives requires a certain level of affection with either your mom or dad but Zoe doesn't, the reasoning being that parents are protective of their daughter and wouldn't want a boy sleeping over but another girl is fine to sleepover (If only they knew about Zoe's extra's)

GYM

Create Zoe Theme Tune - [DONE] This is now in game for when you meet Zoe.

Create 1 PT client - [DONE] Sam, a black kid from around the neighbourhood will be your first PT client, you will have to encourage him to keep up his fitness goals. ;-)

Create Kravenar offers you steroids event - I need to do this.

Write that PT means Personal Trainer - [DONE] Melvin now tells you this when you ask him about becoming a PT.

Create Zoe Reactions - [DONE] Zoe now has some reactions to certain dialogue and sex events, both negative and positive.

Create Douchebag and fight him option - [DONE] You can now talk and fight the gym douchebag.

LIBRARY

Create Librarian - [DONE] No video as of writing but I'm working on it.

Create Markellus and theme tune- [DONE] He is now in game alongside his themetune. Current dialogue is a few lines but I am looking before release to expand it to a lot of dialogue.

Create Stat boosts and losses through Books - [DONE] You have 10 books currently in to start with that will change your stats for good or worse.

JAIL

Put Inspector Emily in - [DONE] Everyone favourite dickgirl (or do you guys like Zoe more?) is now in the game.

Create A police Officer that tries to arrest you from time to time. - [DONE] He is in game but I have not coded any arrest event yet, I want to work on a video first before putting the code in.

PERSONAL

WORK

Well as of the 14th of this month my work hours have dropped from 30 hours a week to 10 hours due to taking my old job back and my now ex job wouldn't allow me a small hour cut to facilitate that in. In short I used to do only 8-10am in the morning, then I did that AND 4-6pm with another employer, THEN I left the 8-10am one to do both 4-6 and 10-1am with the one employer. I then a few weeks ago got a call from my ex-supervisor that they have found no-one to replace me and no-one has had a day off since I left because of it (I worked in a team of 3 and there needs to be a minimum of 2 to do the job well enough, although I have two shifts this week where it's just me because like you all know I'm a workaholic) So I said I will come back and asked my employer for me to go back onto just the 4-6pm and they said no, and as I had already accepted the morning one back I was kinda stuffed at that point. So now I'm doing the morning shift and of course this game. As you may have noticed I have a lot more completed that I did in previous updates, that said I would like to expand this with a lot more advertising and word of mouth and try to build it up.

GAME SKILLS

I have downloaded the following software:

Dragonbones, Unity game engine and SFM (a film maker) and I'm hoping to learn them. My hope is after this game is done to use Unity to create a 2d game using Playshapes sprites. I've already located Corta's template and after some woolgathering I can understand theoretically what I would have to do. You know in SIMBRO's game you think changing the hair is just the hair right? Nope it's an entire new model (even though it looks identical), you have to snapshot each change of character, cut it out in an image editor and then use Dragonbones or Anima2d to create a 'skeleton' for it to move. then of course the coding. Unity uses either C# Javascript or Boo languages. In short it will be a big occasion for me and to be honest it's a long way down the line. That said I have already put some books on Unity and C# on my amazon wishlist.

I have not touched SFM yet.

I have been fiddling around in Blender since it is creating models and backgrounds and everything from scratch. As you know I bought a £30 something blender guide so that I could learn it in my spare time and create better art. I thought of making a sex/survival game featuring Jill Valentine (Yeah Yeah she is one of my video game crushes, 1 of 2 actually but I doubt any of you will know who Aribeth De Tylmarande, the other one is.)

UNRELATED SKILLS

I've now completely focused on my learning of the Old Norse Language. I've also at some point got to start driving lessons, I've been putting it off though, I'm normally a calm person but the road makes me kinda angry, too many idiot drivers who wouldn't know an indicator if you rammed one down their...anyway. enough about that.

I think thats all for now but I'll update this as and if necessary.

EDIT 23/08/17 20:33 - Forgot to mention I have sorted the following bugs:

Tabs Being open when moving to a new area - now when you move to an area the tabs SHOULD be in a closed state.

Put Health Cap on enemies during fights - DONE, hopefully it works.

Programme health to restore after fights - DONE what is meant by this is that ALL enemies will regenerate their health when you leave an area, previously all enemies operated from the same health bar, so knockout one and you knocked out ALL the games enemies. Can't have that now can we?

Sort Thug1 and Kravenar energy loss - Now you will not lose energy for just talking to these characters.
