2024-04-11 22:31:09 Its hilarous to think that some people just assume jimbie is angry because of the racism lol. That has nothing to do with it. Jimbie knows something.

Of course, the fishmen are a long-lived people with even longer memories, and Joyboy was such an important figure to them that the mermaid princess, one of the original Ancient Weapons, had an apology letter written to him in an unbreakable stone (a feat which couldn't have been cheap.) So even if Jimbei doesn't know or suspect who Joyboy is (and seeing how ready Jimbei, a captain in his own right, was ready to follow Luffy into Hell after Impel Down I don't see it) then he at least knows more about Joyboy than he's sharing.

I think alot of people never equate age and race to the immportance of one piece, but these characters are older for a reason or they have histories that date back 100's of years, they existed during previous era's that have experienced certain things that are tied to one piece's greatest mysteries. Brook for example being 90 years old, is an extremly old character in the OP world and probably has alot of knowledge of the past but probably never brought it up. Oda of course will have to tell the story of when Brook proceeded roger's era and what kinds of things in history he is actually tied to.

Brook mentioned Roger in Zoo and said that Roger was a Rookie when Brook was going to the Grand Line I think. He is also connected to Crocus, so I think there is not more with his past (I hope there is tho).
