Besides house of the dragon, theyre adapting another book called A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms which takes place 90 years before GoT. It's about the adventures of Duncan the tall, an ancestor of Brienne. And Egg, a targaryeon whos actually Maester Aemons younger brother. So we should get some lore on him eventually

I’m late, but the name of the episode “Two Swords” is symbolic. The Lannisters melted Eddark (Ned) Starks sword at the beginning of the episode. We see at the end of the episode Arya Stark gets her sword back. Although one Stark sword is gone, another is found (Needle) Arya’s sword that she got from Jon Snow. The opening scene of Tywin melting Ned’s sword also represent the rise of the Lannisters and the fall of house Stark.
