Red's Report (April Edition) (Patreon)

Hey everyone, last update was pretty late in the month so I wanted to give myself a little extra time to finish things up and share some meaningful content. Trying to get back on track with posting earlier, hopefully the rest of this month goes smoothly!

Anyway, two major updates to share for now.

One: the Peach X Bowser drawing is finished! This was from a sketch that was voted on last month. Also like before, I took a bit longer than expected because of drawing it with animation in mind--the short explanation here is that I end up with literally hundreds of layers instead of just a few, and it takes extra time to keep them organized and make sure things are consistent between them all, in addition to drawing "through" the model so there's room for stuff to move without looking cut off or showing empty space. Here's a single image from the set, I'll share the full set in just a minute in a separate post.

Two: working through UI and other visual elements for the Samus animation. It's not very exciting to look at but I at least wanted to show progress. It may also be a little incomprehensible in this format, but I'm still determining how exactly everything is going to be put together on screen. Metroid super-fans might recognize some of these shapes. ;]

Three: not really major news because it was determined earlier this month but I figured I'd mention it here too: the last poll is done and the winner was #2!

<3 you guys for voting for the thiccer ladies lately, I've enjoyed drawing them quite a bit. Now I just need to figure out who that's actually going to be... I've got some ideas but feel free to let me know if you have any suggestions!
