Daddy Long-Legs Guest Comic (Patreon)

I posted this on tumblr once, but it's long buried and almost impossible to find now. One of the last comics I ever drew (not counting Awful Hospital, if you consider it a comic?) was a guest strip for Daddy Long Legs, where I tried to keep a similar tone of humor/dialog.

But, by the time I finished it, the comic had gone on a permanent hiatus.

Strepsiptera are real parasitic insects which force their hosts to climb plant life so the worm-like female, protruding nonlethally from the host's back, can mate with the tiny, flying males, who follow their pheromones as well as seek them out visually - the male's have some of the most powerful eyes of any arthropod, and remarkably similar in structure to those of trilobites!

It looks like I accidentally stole Celia's hat from this little strepsipteran guy. I guess when I think "fancy hat" I subconsciously default to "purple hat with blue feather" for some reason.
