Usonia went through so many iterations. The town square that ended up in the comic is based on production art from the Frank Capra film Lost Horizon (1937). The surrounding regions are loosely based on Frank Lloyd Wright's concepts for a utopian-style planned city in which agriculture and urbanization were equally valued.

Also there's a man in a hat for some reason. And Briareos.

As someone who lives in an Usonian house, made by one of FLW's students, I deeply appreciate you using that style in your comic and referencing it by name.

Thanks! I should also mention that Kusanagi's home is largely a composite of Frank Lloyd Wright's Ennis house, Hollyhock house, and Little house. The rear exterior is inspired by the Vandamm house, which was also used in North by Northwest (1959). Also the basement area is partly based on Wright's studio in Oak Park, IL.
