In basketball, there is the 24 second shot clock rule. You only have 24 seconds from when you gain possession of the ball to make the basket. However, if you shoot the ball and it hits the basket rim, the shot clock resets back to 24. Otherwise, without this rule, people would just hold the ball forever xD

Also, Takao and Midorima reminds me of Hinata and Kageyama. Hinata wanted to beat Kageyama badly after middle school, but they ended up being teammates in high school and they have their super quick attack. It's so similar to Takao and Midorima!
