It's fun to watch you all confused and hearing your theories. X) I know you have figured it out already that you are in the past but it will be fun to see how far it goes. :) Also you missed an end scene on episode 5. ;)

So since the end of episode 2 we've been seeing Wei Wuxian's life before his death and resummoning into Mo Xuan Yu's body. If you re watch episode 2 many characters in the past few episodes appear there but as their older selves. Jiang Cheng is the younger guy in purple with the whip in episode 2. Jin Zixuan, who is Wei Wuxian's adopter sister's fiance, is related to the boy in yellow in episode 2 as well. I'm not gonna spoil how they are related cause you'll see soon.

Essentially the rest of this season builds up Wei Wuxian's life and subsequent downfall into demonic cultivation leading to his death. Hope that clears things up for you guys. Great fun seeing your reactions to it though :)
