The ability to stand in front of an object composed of wood, fabric and paint and become lost, to transcend time and space and lose one's self is something that no medium other than painting can achieve. Yet when the image is disrupted by tears, old varnish and grime, that illusion, the magic is compromised. Ender the conservator who, with care and precision will apply selected materials all in hopes of salvaging the painting, the magic and turning a lost situation about face.
