I love what you've done with the world building, and it all flows very logically and there's definitely a pattern to things. As for Mr Monkey King, he's also very well characterized given that his arrogance is what led to his own hardships in his most famous piece of Buddhist literature. Hopefully he's learned some contrition since then.
