H, You know I'm crazy about Dimash, But I was watching YT video of him perform Story of One Sky at Almaty concert sept 2022. The vocals are identical in timing, tone, and production to the official video. I suggested maybe the concert performance was used FOR the video sound or he was lip syncing, the latter of which was clear. I received such a tongue lashing from Dears that i deleted my comment I agree that LS is beneath Dimash, but occasionally must be considered necessary or required. But when we go to a fine restaurant, we don't expect them to just warm up yesterdays leftovers. Yes, we know Dimash is human and imperfect, but his LIVE performances each have some nuance and variation. And he gets CLOSE to his Dears instead of keeping that safe distance necessary to facilitate LS not being discovered. This keeps us from connecting with him on a song. Compare that Almaty performance with the one from Kuala Lumpur 230624, and the second is truly the one I would prefer to experience. I can't imagine the idea of LS to be his own, and I fear as he ventures into the butcher shop that is the American music industry, his authenticity will suffer. EDIT. Kuala Lumpur 230624...He switches over to the soundtrack vocal halfway through the song. No more audience interaction, no personalization. He's an amazing performer, I don't expect perfection, but I do expect better.

I need to check the footages but I believe you 100%. I really don't know why the world is so obsessed with artificial perfection. I love listening to live performances because they always sound at least a bit different, and every performance has their uniqe beauty, or so it was the case before. I would feel robbed if I went to a concert and realised a singer was lip syncing. I can just play the song loud in my room if I want to have that experience. You're completely right with the restaurant anology, spot on! And I understand you deleting the comment, I had the same experience when I posted a video about BTS when I just started the channel. I talked about autotune, lip syncing and stuff that was clearly happening and I got crucified in the comments by hypnotized fans. They treat them as gods. I hid the video because I didn't want that much negitivity in my life and at the beginning of my channel. Now I'm thinking of putting it back up because I only spoke the truth. So sad people now don't know how to communicate or take constructive criticism. I'll definitely get attacked by dears when I post this video, but I will do it. It just needs to be said
