Weekly Talk 108 (Patreon)

Morning!

Workflow:

So advanced well on the comics, I think i get a good rythm too. Working on big comm on half the day, and patreon sketch and smaller comm the rest of the half.
I'll try to keep my rythm like this, yes it make bigger stuff come slower, but at the same time leave me time to rework it. And so far i'm not used to my new work rythm i decided to impose myself, yet.
Not that easy, but i think it's the key for a healthy grow. If i wanted to change all in one go i might just stop in front of the sheer amount of work to do. So better being slow and methodic, force me to get a rythm and a habit, then once done keep at it till it's rooted in my brain and i'm steady and efficient at it.
So, that said, this week had planned to work on an animation, but want to finish my comm in late first :/
So : finishing the patreon reward + the comics, and maybe start the next biggest project.
Again sorry for the late in the CYOA, it's coming after. I really want to remove some of the work to do list!

If you're here for some times, you know how i LOVE kaiju movies. The recent, the old goofy ones, even the meh: put a big monster, i love it!
Like, even if i find the Pacific Rim uprising scenario dumb as shit, at least there was some neat effect and cool visual stuff and it was already that!
So new trailer for GodzillaVSKong get me hyped! I know it might be stupid as shit, don't care, really!
Like i'm quite positive to movies, all i want is to have a good moment. The scanerio is stupid? Don't care it don't do all, some FX were Meh? If it's fun and made me laugh, still a win. I mean i understand the problems, i don't refuse them, just i am not those type of peoples that on a 2h30 long movie, love 2h29, but the epilogue is happy end, they don't agree so "it's shit"
Spending  a good time 90% of the time, and disliking it cause you wouldn't have did it this way is, in my opinion, what make me roll my eyes the most.

ANYWAY, loved the 3 last legendary kaiju movies. And love that they try to be quite goofy and pay respect to the old Godzilla Toho movies!
BTW, my favorite of the last 10 y, is still SHIN GODZILLA
Didn't saw it yet? It's a wonderfull movie, in the sense of, first Godzilla was a metaphor of atomic bomb dropped on japan. ShinGodzilla is a metaphor of the Fukushima accident!
BTW if you want to keep the incoming movie spoiler free, don't go take a look at the leaked toy line for the movie!

Growing slowly but steady:

So far my growth in the media been steady and efficient i think. I sometimes loose some followers/patreons, but in the general i'm slowly getting more and more peoples.
First: thanks guys, it's nice of you to follow and support me =)
Second: always a bit mixed about such things.
For those who dunno it, back in the days, like 15 years ago, i became a bit known in French blog sphere. Mostly because of friends, of 17/18 yo of the time that get famous too. It was quite big, even for what i got now, but remember it was Internet begining, so it was impressive.
So what happened? Mostly, Trolls and haters. And it was the first wave of it, 4 chan wasn't even a thing then XD. Just was there and at the time i didn't knew how to deal with. So i just closed everything, removed me from the net and focussed on my studies.
Later i decided to come back, but internet never wait for you, plus i was starting edult stuff, and lot of my old followers stopped back then X).
But to give you an ideas of how big i was back then, i live in a nearly 1 million city. And 15 years ago happened 2 or 3 times that peoples of my ages or younger did recognized me in the street . Yeah, that happened, still a bit weird to think about it X) (for info used to draw, but was shitty, was mostly know for my bad temper and being the "chief" of the small drawing group (mostly cause no one else wanted to lead :/))
Anyway all to say, i know that with grow, comes the problems. I think i would be more zen about it now. Peoples ll hat you whatever you do, you can't change it, just try to please yourself and the peoples that like you is the only good way to stay healthy, in my opinion. Still, not closing your ears to good "bad comments" that point some mistakes, it's important to evolve in the good way. The job is just to understand the line between free hate, and interesting review.
Anyway, not here yet, dunno if i'll ever grow that far tbh XD
But for those that are here today, if it ever happen, remember that you were the stone base in the place i built my home =)
