Since they didn't properly show or translate the writing for the tournament set up, here's a rundown; The tournament consists of 8 randomly assigned brackets; each bracket containing 6 or 7 schools, and each bracket does their own elimination round to determine the top 8 for secondary elimination finals. Kurasuno is in a 7 school bracket, and they've been allocated 3 matches. The first match they play against is the one with Daichis friend that they introduced this episode. If they win that round, they might be going up against the team that caused Asahi to drop out assuming that team also wins their match in round 1. The team with Kageyamas senior is the one they consider the most powerful team in their bracket; that team has been allocated a pass on the 1st round and are an option for Kurasuno in round 3. The team with the Ultimate Ace isn't in their bracket at all. The only chance to fight against them, is for both teams to get into the top 8 qualifiers.
