So I'm surprised your editor didn't even make a quick not about this; but the Whitebeard Symbol on Ace's back was actually modified for the anime. In the manga; instead of a cross; it was drawn as a skull and manji; the symbol that appeared on Ichigos original Bankai sword in Bleach. However; like a lot of manji symbols in anime; since it's marketed worldwide; they censored it because of the similarities the manji symbol has to the german swastika. Thing is; it goes even further then that; Oda actually got given explicit orders from the publisher that if he ever wanted to draw the Whitebeard Sybol again; he *had* to draw it with the animes design. And in an absolutely unprecedented move; because One Piece is so insanely huge as a series these days; Shonen Jump has had all online and print rereleases of this part of the manga also edited to remove the manji.

This episode is amazing, and can't wait for you to meet Whitebeard, he is one of the greatest monsters in the series easily. But calm down, I wouldn't put Ace on Mihawk's level lol. He is indeed very strong tho!
