What Armin actually ment was that he wants to cut open his wrists before he gets eaten by a Titan. Thats why Mikasa throw away his last blade.

You're damn right. Armin is not fault of this. Jaeger always does crap first by endangering the lives of his comrades and friends, including his own, and only after thinking about the consequences of his impulsiveness
