I'm very "happy" that you were shared between sadness and hapiness when the Fox evolved, a lot of people were like "Yes Naruto, you go get that son of a bitch" but seing the 9 tails coming off isn't something really good to anyone so i'm totally on your side ! With that, i'm also very happy to see that you kinda enjoy the animation ! This animation was made by a very famous animator but was very discussed because as you saw, Pain was making sometimes really weird faces.

Until 4 tail emergencies,Naruto still battle by himself. After Naruto turns into that creature,Nine Tail completely take him over and start fighting himself.

The problem is that he is a dead man and his neck can be broken as much as necessary. In addition, Nagato concentrated all his chakra in one body (because everyone else is dead) and made him much stronger and more durable, so he cannot be killed so easily.

Anyone who says that animation is bad in this fight just wrong. Because it isn't animation, it's art style and it isn't bad just different. Everything done in this fight was intentional and supposed to look chaotic and fast(just like Nine tails).

So if you recall Jiraiya had said that by the fourth tail Naruto loses all control and it totally taken over by the nine tails. Remember his fight against orochimaru. When he got up to four tails he was not in control or even conscious about what he was doing. And in this fight, he started of with 4 tails.

Think about this too Lucky. By the time Naruto joined the fight, Nagato had already used a ton of chakra. Naruto came in fresh. By the time Naruto transformed into the 9 tails, Nagato was already in bad shape and already used even more chakra. Think about if Naruto was there from the very start.

Hey Lucky, a question; on Sunday we will get the reaction from 168 and 169, so in the next post you will skip the two filler episodes and post 172 and 173? P.S: I don't know if you already know that, probably yes, but from 176 to 196 are fillers, with only two episodes out of 20 being semi-fillers and these fillers are memories of the characters ... How will it be here at Patreon? Are you going to jump straight to the next arc?

Hm, yes, my mods informed me of this, so i'm going to have to give u guys a poll, to see if you want me to watch the upcoming filler arc, i think you don't want that, in which case i'll have to take a few days to bench watch the fillers, cuz i don't wanna skip anything :D So i'll have to plan ahead a bit! But you raised some interesting questions here, thanks for asking! And yes, my mods told me that those 2 episodes 170 and 171 i think are recap fillers, so i'll watch those on my own time :D And you'll get 172 and 3 right away :D

Best fight in the entire series! I love this episode so much just from how insane it is! It shows just how powerful my boy Nagato/Pain can be when Nagato doesn't have to focus on 6 bodies. Plus, this is him at nowhere near his best. I can't wait for you to see the end of this arc!

He didnt recognise the 4th hokage, he read it on his cloak. The back of the cloak says Yondaime Hokage, Literally meaning: Fourth Fire Shadow) of Konohagakure.
