I actually disagree with you about the Usopp thing. If for whatever reason, Usopp was present at the time that everyone else was told the fate of the ship; yes, he would be heartbroken and probably done everything in his power to deny the truth and stop Luffy; but you also need to remember that the whole fight was predicated because of what had happened with the Franky Family earlier that day. Usopp was already hyper emotional because he was being forced to confront how weak he really was compared to everyone else; and because of that he took Luffy getting rid of the ship as being the same thing as Luffy being willing to get rid of any part of the crew that doesn't measure up. So a truly doubt they would've ended up having to come to blows if that situation didn't happen.
