This set came together so randomly that it was like fate had dictated it happen.
Genesis and I were discussing this shoot while I was browsing goodwill, and she sends me this pinterest link that's a woman holding an old phone laying in a pile of cotton (or so I thought). I literally just HAPPENED to be looking at this old phone sitting on the rack and immediately responded with a pic and she agreed - it was fate. Then I started doing some digging on how exactly they get that fake cloud look and discover it's actually polyester fill and you can buy it in bulk on amazon. The fill arrived in a handful of small vacuum sealed packages so I threw them in my bag and headed up to the studio.

We spent a good 30 minutes just fluffling up the material to get it to 'cloud' density, there were polyester strands of fuzz everyfreakingwhere. I put the phone on my white cube seat, stuffed a few LEDs in and around the clouds and got her dressed up to shoot. We actually shot topless first, with the agreement that I'd censor her nipples with clouds, which I agreed to. I figured the pasties she was wearing would provide a sufficient base for the AI to generate a nice cloud over, but i was wrong. The clouds she's sitting in were easy for the AI to gently reinterpret into clouds because the reference was there, but her nips were not cooperating. The biggest problem is the AI will assess the entire image, so it INSISTS on putting nipples where the pasties were. After a ton of fussing, I finally found a process that allowed me to generate tiny little clouds where they needed to be. This also explains why there's very little consistency between the shoots where she's topless as each generation is unique. These tools continue to get better, but next time I'm gonna just scotch tape cottonballs to her chest and be done with it haha.
