Amaya - Aqua (Patreon)

This one is gonna blow your guys collective minds, I swear.

So, I had this inspiration to use a sheet of mylar to create this wavy underwater effect and it worked, but it just looked only slightly better than some of the inspiration photos. Now, not every photoset is gonna be a smash hit, so I chalked it up to a failure in execution and I'll have to live with the result being good, but not GREAT. After I wrapped the original set and sent everything over to Amaya (who was lukewarm on the set herself), I started working on Heather's Burgundy dress scene where I used a TON of AI/stable diffusion for the curtains and dress, AND its pretty transparent and not obvious that it was AI! This is a GOOD thing, as we don't want people to be like "this is shopped I can tell by the pixels etc etc" and I felt like I could revisit Amaya's set to really capture when I had originally envisioned.

I DM'd her and told her to hold off on sharing them and took the FINAL images and reprocessed them with a complex-as-fuck layer of generative art AND IT FUCKING WORKED! The complexity is deep, tho, as I first trained an AI model of her face/body so that Stable Diffusion would have a more keen understanding of her body and face structure, which I think were the key to making this work as there was very little to retrofit because it "knew" what she looked like. The lighting really helped here, as well, giving the AI a strong baseline to work off of (light, tone, color, etc) and letting me use a very light application layer(s) of generative art to keep the image rooted in realism.

Overall I'm stoked to share this set with you guys, truly a breakthrough in hybridizing photography and AI.
